Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By signing in to Career Tools ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. What Career Tools Is

Career Tools is a personal productivity application for job seekers. It helps you generate tailored resumes and cover letters, track applications, draft LinkedIn posts, and manage your job search using AI. The app is operated by Jason Green (jason@jasongreen.biz).

3. Bring Your Own API Key

Career Tools uses the Anthropic Claude API for AI generation. You must provide your own Anthropic API key. By providing your key, you agree that:

• You are responsible for all usage and charges incurred under your key
• Your key is stored encrypted and used solely to make requests on your behalf
• You will not use your key in ways that violate Anthropic's usage policies

4. Your Data

You retain ownership of all content you create — resumes, cover letters, application records, LinkedIn posts, and any other data you enter into the app. We do not sell, share, or use your data for any purpose other than operating the service. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app to generate fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading job application materials
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service
• Share your account access with others
• Use the app in violation of any applicable law

6. Third-Party Services

The app integrates with Google (sign-in and Calendar), Anthropic (AI generation), and LinkedIn (post publishing). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms. Career Tools is not responsible for any third-party service's actions or policies.

7. No Warranty

Career Tools is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your needs — always review outputs before using them. We make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jason Green shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Career Tools, including but not limited to lost opportunities, missed applications, or API charges.

9. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
